For change you have to self-initiate

By Madhur-Nain

How can you make changes in your life if you haven’t self-initiated? To self-initiate is to consciously and actively choose your life.  If you keep feeling like life is just affecting you and you haven’t made the choice to truly LIVE your LIFE.  You will end up feeling like a victim.  Poor me, why is this happening to me? Why does this always happen to me? This isn't fair.  If you continue to think like this then life will be so much harder to change.  The worse it gets the worse you will feel.

Taking self-initiative is not suddenly changing everything around you and knowing how to do that. No, that's hard when you feel so stuck and down in the dumps.

The first step is to look at yourself and decide you want more for you.  What inside me needs to first change.  What thoughts do I keep thinking or saying that keeps  stuck in that poor me thinking.  Again don't worry about what you see around you.  Start with you.  The inside of you.

Start with counting your greatness.  It is as simple as "I am thankful I have clean clothes to wear.  I am thankful that I can walk.  I am thankful that I have an inner strength that is saying something is wrong here and I want to change it.  I am thankful that I have a roof over my head.  I am thankful that I have my voice and I can chant.  I am thankful that even though life has been hard I am still getting out of bed each day and getting myself to work.  I am thankful that I can take a deep breath."

Ok so here is the meditation which is to support you self-initiating your life.  The chant is:

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo

I bow to the creator the divine teacher within

Do you know what that means? You, yes you have the information within you to make a change.  The trick is you have to connect with in.  You have to call upon it.  Yell "I am ready for you to come out and help me with my life" Now listen to what comes.  Follow the directions to this meditation and practice it every day for the whole month or 40 days.  Journal daily and see how your Grateful reflections change.
